What does the LG OE error code mean?
OE (Outlet Error) is LG’s drain error code. The machine has tried to drain for 10 minutes and the water level has not dropped sufficiently. This is almost always a blocked pump filter, kinked drain hose, or blocked pump impeller — a very common and straightforward fix.
How to fix the LG OE error code
- Press Start/Pause to stop the cycle. Try selecting a Spin or Drain programme.
- If water stays in the drum, cancel and unplug the machine.
- The pump filter on most LG machines is behind a service panel at the bottom-right of the front. Place towels underneath.
- Slowly open the filter cap — water drains out. Remove fully and clear all debris.
- Check the pump impeller inside rotates freely. Remove any obstruction.
- Check the drain hose at the rear is not kinked or pressed flat, and the standpipe height is 60–90cm.
- Reinstall the filter and test with a short spin cycle.
