What does the Indesit F11 error code mean?
F11 on Indesit is a pump activation fault — the control board is trying to power the drain pump but not receiving the expected response. This is slightly different from F05 in that the blockage is less likely and an electrical or wiring fault more likely. The pump connector or pump windings may have failed.
How to fix the Indesit F11 error code
- First clean the pump filter as described in the F05 guide — rule out blockage before investigating electrically.
- If the filter is clear, the pump should be audible during a drain cycle. If you hear nothing at all, power is not reaching the pump.
- Unplug and check the wiring connector on the pump body for corrosion or loose pins.
- If the connector is fine, test the pump motor resistance with a multimeter — healthy pumps read 100–300 ohms across the terminals.
- A replacement pump for Indesit models costs £14–22 and is a relatively straightforward swap.
