Remove and clean the filters

Running a regular cleaning cycle with a Dishwasher cleaner can help dissolve grease build up in the filters and pipes
Check the drain hose at the back of the machine
It should loop up high before connecting to the waste pipe — this prevents back-siphoning. Ensure it is not kinked or squashed. Even the slightest bend or kink can cause the error.
Check the drain hose for blockages
Disconnect the drain hose from the sink waste/standpipe and check for blockages inside the hose itself.
Check the connection point on your kitchen sink
If it has a blanking plug that was never removed, the water has nowhere to go. This could be the case if the machine has just been installed.
Run a test cycle
Run a ‘Rinse’ or ‘Quick’ programme and listen to the drain pump. A constant hum with no water movement suggests the impeller is jammed — remove the filter and try to clear any debris from the pump housing.
Use cut resistant gloves or tweezers to check and remove debris from the pump impeller. Broken glass is a common cause and poses a cut risk.
